Ancient-Styled Bronze Articles Produced In Shanghai. Bronze, an alloy of copper and tin which has good casting properties, has been used mainly for casting objects of complex shapes. In the history of the civilized countries in the world, there are records of the making of bronze articles. The early bronze age in China began around 2,000 B.C.. With their exquisite patterns, Chinese bronzes are rarely seen in the world of art. The Chinese Bronze Culture Renascent Company founded in Shanghai recently, whose aim is to revive the art of making bronze articles in China, has carried out research into ancient Chinese bronze culture. It has designed and cast a number of ancient-styled bronzes as well as modern bronze objects. Besides, the company has held academic discussions and cultural exchanges with other countries.
