Round-toed shoes made of tapestry. The tapestry used in making this pair of shoes is woven with red brown, white, black, yellow and green silk threads and bears an inscription reading "Rich and prosperous, fit for kings and marquises, and favoured by heaven with longevity". Eastern Tsin (A.D. 317-420). L. 22.5 cm. Unearthed in 1964 at Turfan, Sinkiang Uighur Autonomous Region.
