Jade Horse. A rare work of art carved out of a piece of white jade, the horse is represented in a galloping posture and stands on a rectangular base, with wings indicated by incisions. The rider wears a helmet and a jacket. Western Han (206 B.C.-A.D.24), L. 8.9 cm. Unearthed in 1966 at Hsienyang, Shensi Province.
