200 Million Year Old Dinosaur Foot Print Fossils Found In Southwest China. Chinese archaeologists have in recent years discovered more than 600 three-toe dinosaur foot print fossils in a small area in Xiyang District, Jinning County, Yunnan Province. Originally a land of lakes and marshes, the area rose to height of 1350 to 2300 metres above sea level because of crustal movements. The study of some 200 of the newly found foot print fossils has identified four genuses and and five species of dinosaur whose fossils have never been seen before in the world. The length, height and weight as well as the walking or running speed of the dinosaurs can now be ascertained from the many well-preserved fossils.
