4000-Year-Old Relics Are Discovered In Lintong County of Shaanxi Province. Relics from the Kangjia archaeological find consists of 72 houses, 32 caves and 5 kilns. More than 900 pieces of pottery, stone, bone and jade, as well as some common utensils have been unearthed. The excavated houses are arranged in rows in the directions of the east, west, south and north, two to seven rooms per row. The layout is characteristic of those built by the families of patriarchal clan communes. The Longshan Culture is one of the cultures that flourished on the Middle and Lower Reaches of the Yellow River during the late Neolithic Age, a period when the patriarchal type clan commune was common.
