Seated Kuanyin. Ying Ch'ing ware. The figure is represented with partly exposed chest and bare feet and richly ornamented with jewelled necklaces. Its superb modelling and exquisite glaze colour make it on e of the rarest and most beautiful Yuan Dynasty Ying Ch'ing statutes ever excavated in China. Yuan Dynasty (A.D. 1271-1368) H. 67 cm. unearthed in 1955 in the West City District of Peking.
