Issued By The Ministry Of Information Chn. 471. (Picture issued Octorber 1942). Little Citizens of New China - growing up in Mee: Chiang Kai Shek's War Orphanages. Chine not only fights on with unwavering courage, she also faces up to the tragic social problems of her 6-year 'INCIDENT' with a view to a better future. The many thousands of little war orphans from war ravaged areas and badly bombed towns are growing up to good citizenship in Mee: Chiang Kai Shek's model orphangges. These are self supporting and self-contained. The children are taught a trade or craft by which they will be able to serve China in war or peace. They are known as "Little Citizens of New China". Picture Shows:- A young Chinese girl war orphan making a speech against traitors to a very young and serious audience. The naive wall posters show traitors signalling to the enemy, bombs falling on civillians and the same traitors being marched away to their fate under armed escort.
