Acting according to this new instruction of Chairman Mao's, Tungchi University in Shanghai has put forward a bold proposal for re-organising the university into a "May Seventh Commune". It will consist of a university, a construction unit and a designing section, thus having a three-fold function--teaching, designing and building. This will help to prevent the disintegration of education from production, a common occurrence in the past. The programme for the revolution of education drafted by Tungchi University is being tried out at the No. 205 construction site in east China.
