Bronze rhinoceros-shaped vessel inlaid with gold. The rhinoceros is inlaid in gold all over the body with cloud design. Its eyes are made of black glass balls. A small tube on the left of the mouth serves as the spout while the plain cover for the oval opening on the back of the animal is fastened with a hinge. Ch'in Dynasty (221-207 B.C.). L. 57.8 cm. Unearthed in 1963 at Hsingping, Shensi Province.
