Gilt bronze leopards inlaid with gold and silver (two of four). The leopards are decorated all over the body with black spots accentuated by tiny circles of inlaid silver. The eyes are made of tiny pieces of yellowish agate. Early Western Han (206 B.C.-A.D. 24). L. 5.7 cm. Unearthed in 1968 from the tomb of Tou Wan at Mancheng, Hopei Province.
