Wall painting from the tomb of Crown Prince Chang Huai. Two ladies and a maid. One lady (middle), who has her hair done in a double top-knot and wears pointed shoes and a long gown with a small round box attached to the belt, is trying to catch a cicada. Another lady (right), who has her hair done in a top-knot and wears a shoulder-cover and a long skirt, seems to be engrossed in thought. The maid (left), who has her hair done in top-knot and wears an overdress, a shoulder-cover, a long skirt and shoes with up-turned toe-caps, is looking up at a flying bird. Tang Dynasty (A.D. 618-907). Unearthed in 1971 at Chienhsien, Shensi Province.
