Education Develops At China's Minority Areas. Shen Xingxie, head of the agricultural science centre of the Shengdi Production Brigade, Guangxin People's Commune, Yanji County, observing the growth of rice. Shen, a graduate of Liming Peasant University, Yanji County, began cultivating rice seedlings in his indigenous green-house in 1980 and used a method of sparsely planting and transplanting, thus increasing the output of rice to 5,250 kilogrammes per hectare, 125 kilogrammes higher than before.
