Encouraging Tidings From China's Industry. Trainloads of coal to be shipped out from Tatung coal mines in Shansi Province. Collieries in north China's Shansi Province reported fulfilment of the 1974 plan for production, coalfield exploitation and tunnelling one month ahead of schedule after surpassing the state targets for eight years running. Both coal output and tunnelling footage topped the previous peak.
