Hilly County In East China Province Builds Small Power Stations Self-Reliantly. Yungchun County in Fukien Province, east China, has built 124 small hydro-electric power stations through 13 years of hard struggle, bringing about a radical change in the appearance of the mountain area. The Yungchun people achieved this by displaying the spirit of self reliance, as taught by Chairman Mao. Photo shows an outer view of the Taching Hydro-electric Power Station, the biggest of its kind in Yungchun. It has a generating capacity of 795 kilowatts.
