East China County Builds Small Hydro-Electric Power Stations. The building of small hydro-electric power stations has given an impetus to the growth of local industry. Before liberation, industry was non-existent in Hsienchu County. Now 39 small plants have been set up to make farm machines, chemical fertilizer, agricultural insecticides and generators. 75 percent of the electricity used by these plants is supplied by the hydro-electric power stations.
