Rare treasures from China's dynastic history will be exhibited at the vast Exhibition of the People's Republic of China, to open in the U.S. in San Francisco Sept. 13-28. This is an intricate of a Tang Dynasty Buddhist figurine. Modern China, too will be on display, for the PRC is presenting a major collection of its finest products, as diverse as cashmere sweaters and machine tools. Twenty thousand items will be exhibited, with most now available to the American market. Contemporary art as well as antiquities will be shown.
