China's Biggest Salmon Ground. Several hundred thousand kg of salmons were caught in a dozen days in September in China's biggest salmon fishing ground at Wusu town at the confluence of the Heilongjiang River and the Wusuli River in the northeastern border of the country. The salmons hatch in rivers but grow up on the sea. They live in the sea for 3 or 5 years and then swim back to the rivers in groups for reproduction.
