Big Ginseng Discovered In N.E. China. A very big piece of ginseng (an aromatic root valued as medicine) has been discovered by four peasants in a virgin forest on the Changbai Mountains in Jilin province, northeast China. The wild ginseng weighing 287.5 grams has a nice appearance and tubercles on its fibrous root. According to experts, it is the biggest ginseng, probably 100 years old, ever discovered on the Changbai Mountains. Photo by Yuan Zhaoyi.
