Carved ink-slab. Carved of grey limestone, the ink-slab is surrounded by relief decorations representing musicians, dancers, man riding on the back of an animal, dragons, birds and two wells in the shape of winged cups. The sides of the slab are likewise de - corated in relief with figures of vajrapanis, birds and animals. Northern Wei (A.D. 386-534). W. 20.2 cm. Unearthed in 1970 at Tatung, Shansi Province.
