Robe of plain gauze. As light and thin as modern nylon gauze, the light gauze used in making this robe is the first of its kind ever found in China. Early Western Han (206 B.C.-A.D. 24). L.128 cm. Weight: 49 grams. Unearthed in 1972 from the Western Han Tomb No.1 at Ma-wang-tui, Changsha.
