Hao Jianxiu -- Youngest Woman Minister. Minister Hao Jianxiu (1st, right), a graduate from the East China Textile Engineering Institute, attending the 30th anniversary of the institute with her former classmates and presenting a picture to her Alma Mater Hao, formally a textile worker, was recommended for admission to a speeded-up educational programme for workers and peasants attached to the People's University of China in 1954, and then passed the exams for the East China Textile Engineering institute in 1958.
