Tea Picking In Southwest China Commune. As the tea picking season sets in, the lush tea gardens of Hsunszu Commune in Szechuan Province are throbbing with activity. Located in Yunlien County, the commune has increased tea output for years running and sold 100 tons of tea leaves to the state in 1975. While developing grain production, the commune made big efforts to expand tea growing. It has turned over 66 hectares of barran hills into tea gardens since the Cultural Revolution.
