Yingshan county has many hot springs with the water temperature reaching 70 degrees centigrade. A geothermal scientific experimental station was set up in 1972 to breed the fine strains of rice, cotton and vegetables. Some experimental items have been applied in farming on a large tract of land. The agro-technicians there have also undertaken the work to raise mouth breeders, and carried out the research in microorganism to provide bacteria for biological control of rice and cotton pests, and bacterial fertilizer.
