Age-Old Printing House For Buddhist Scripture. The house for keeping wood engravings in the Dege Woodblock Printing House. Old printing method is used here. The characters are carved on both sides of the 100cm-long-and-20cm-wide wooden blocks of fine grain. Ink or cinnabar are applied to the wood to print the paper. Scores of thousands of boards are needed to produce a book. Photo by Wang Jingye
