A Glimpse Of People's Life In China. Photo shows the newly-installed cable car in Xiangshan (fragrant hill) Park in the western suburb of Beijing. It takes 20 minutes to carry visitors to the hilltop at a speed of 1.25 metres a second. The 1,400 metre-long cableway, the first of its kind in Beijing's scenic spots, has 98 chairs.
