Researchers examine the site where the largest meteorite fell. The meteorite broke through a 1.7-metre thick layer of frozen soil. Sank 6.5 metres deep into the ground and formed a crater with a diameter of over two metres. The impact blasted soil as high as dozens of metres and clumps of earth fell to a distance of 100 metres from the centre.
