China Constructs Micro Propulsion Rockets. Chinese scientists have for the first time constructed and tested a new type of miniature electric rocket for use on man-made earth satellites and spaceship to ensure proper aptitude and direction while flying in their orbits. Two micro propulsion electric rockets, or known as "pulsed plasma selectors" to scientists, "worked normally as had been expected" during a recent spaceflight, according to scientists of the electric propulsion laboratory at the space science and technology center under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. China is the fourth country to have constructed and tested this type of micro propulsion rockets, following the United States, the Soviet Union and Japan.
