High-Pressure Oxygen Compartment Built On China's Highland. China's first high-pressure oxygen compartment for the treatment of highland heart disease has been built in Delingha area, three thousand metres above sea level, in Qaidam Basin, Qinghai Province. Since July last year, med medical workers there have cured more than 190 patients suffering from all kinds of diseases caused by anoxia and successfully performed two operations for ventricular septal defect and atrial septal defect.
