Soong Ching Ling, Honorary Chairman Of People's Republic Of China. In June 1922, Minister Chen Jiongming of the Army Department staged an armed rebellion in Guangzhou (Canton) and bombarded the president's office. After the incident. Dr. Sun Yat-sen and Madame Soong Ching Ling safetly boarded the "Yongfeng" warship and led the navy forces and part of the army to put down the rebellion.
