A Glimpse Of People's Life In China. Trees and flowers appear in the newly-opened green strips where stood the reviewing stands flanking the Jinshui (golden water) marble bridges in front of Tiananmen Gate in Beijing. The four rectangular plots to be greened cover 5,100 square metres. They will be planted to more than 10,000 evergreen trees, bushes and cedars. 3,000 square metres of lawn will also be laid.
