Before liberation there was in Tibet only one hospital exclusively for the feudal serf-owners. Since liberation the Party and Government have sent in large numbers of medical workers and set up 12 general hospitals above special administrative district or city level and over 70 county hospitals and public health centres. Photo shows the Yatung Hospital.
