Foreign Geologists Make Study Tour In Tibet. Seventeen foreign geologists made a geological study tour in Tibet between September 7 and 20, after attending the celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Geological Society. They came from the United States, France, Britain, Japan and Canada. During the 800-kilometer trip from Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, to Zham Kou'an near the Sino-Nepalese border, the foreign geologists visited spectacular landforms of the Tibet. Plateau and various geological structures.
