Peasant composer Shih Chang-yuan in Hsiyang County of Shansi Province leads young commune members in singing his composition "Our Mountain Village Is a Fine Place". Since 1958, Shih has composed over 300 songs in warm praise of the socialist revolution and construction of the great motherland.
