Varied After-School Activities In Beijing. A vast programme of extra-curricular activities has been adopted for the school children in Beijing to ensure their development, in an all-round way. There are now 13 children's palaces, 48 homes for the juveniles, and more than 2,000 after-school centres at district and city levels. They are drawing a broad number of teenagers and children for more than 100 different interesting and enlightening activities, including reading, recital, foreign language, math, radio, biology, calligraphy and gymnastics.
