Naval Institute Of Chinese PLA. The Naval Surface Vessels Institute of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in the Bohai port city of Dalian for training surface vessel commanders and technicians has turned out a large number of graduates since its founding in 1950. The institute now has an enrolment of more than 1,000 students. It has 5 departments: navigation, weaponry, missiles, telecommunications and radar and ocean mapping and over 100 laboratories.
