China Takes Part In Exhibition Of Daily Necessities In London. The People's Republic of China took part for the first time in the Exhibition of Daily Necessities opened in London on March 9th under the sponsorship of the British paper "Daily Mail". The more than 1,500 articles on display showed the great achievements gained by the Chinese people under the guidance of Chairman Mao's revolutionary line particularly since the Cultural Revolution. The visitors inspected the Chinese exhibits and watched the demonstrations with keen interest. Visiting the Chinese pavilion on March 10, British Conservative Party leader Margaret Thatcher pauses to see a Chinese artisan carving ivory.
