Places Where Chairman Mao Carried Out Revolutionary Activities In Hunan Province. Former site of a peasant evening school founded by Chairman Mao. In 1925 Chairman Mao returned to Shaoshan to start the peasant movement. He is set up more than 20 peasant evening schools to educate the peasants in revolutionary ideas. Yang Kai-hui, comrade-in-arms and wife of Chairman Mao, once lectured at the school (shown in picture).
